Callima Privacy Policy

Callima (formerly Eclipse) is a clipboard and notes app for Windows with a web viewer and Callima LAB, a connector that lets Claude read and edit one of your Callima databases. The service is offered at callima.cloud and johnnywoods.me, which serve the same service and share its data. This page says what the service keeps and why.
Your account
You sign in with Clerk, which keeps your email address and sign-in details. We keep your account id, the PCs you link (their names and when they were last used) and your plan (Free or Pro).
Your notes: encrypted end to end
Callima Cloud stores your databases (clips, pictures, linked files) and your settings encrypted with a key made from your master password, on your own devices. The master password never reaches us and we cannot read this data, with the one exception below.
Callima LAB (Claude)
When you connect Claude (or another MCP client) to Callima LAB and allow it, you choose one database and enter your master password once. Its key is then kept on our server, encrypted with a server secret, for that database only, so the server can read and change that database when Claude asks: finding, reading, adding, editing, moving and deleting clips and cards. What Claude reads goes to Claude (Anthropic) as part of your conversation, under Anthropic's terms. Each change is a new version on your devices, and Version History undoes it.
For that database we also keep short notes Claude writes to find things again, and how often each section was used and when it last changed. Disconnect (Connect to Claude in the web viewer) deletes the key, every access token and the connection; sign-in tokens for clients expire after an hour (refresh tokens after 90 days unused).
AI features
Extract Text and the app's AI features send the text or picture you choose to the AI provider you pick (Google, Anthropic or OpenAI), with your own API key or, on Pro, through Callima AI. For Callima AI we keep only how much each month cost (tokens and calls), never what was asked or answered.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your notes to train AI models. Logs of the hosting provider (Cloudflare) are kept for operating and securing the service.
Deleting your data
On the Callima Devices page (/devices on either domain) you can delete a database, your settings vault or everything in Callima Cloud, and unlink PCs. To have your account and everything kept for it deleted, contact us (below).
